Three weeks ago my husband was in the hospital with pulmonary embolism. Last week my mom had a house fire. This week my mom had eye surgery. I’ve missed birthdays, holidays, and being present when my family needed me most. But today, I submit an F31 and I’m not celebrating.

@JessieMorrill Time for a break! Dont feel guilty about it. It'll be good for you and your family. If I pass candidacy I'm taking time off in July. I need out of the city before I lose my mind.

I can’t remember what work life balance feels/looks like anymore. I’ve been sprinting since quarantine started.
