Hard work today. Some lovely possession but as one of the reporters said we could have played until next week and not scored

#LoveWhereYouLive Lovely walk with the dog whilst listening to biophilic design presentation prior to sharing with classes. How nice to consider the importance of reducing nature deficit and how we can integrate nature into our urban lives whilst walking amongst the trees. #GeographyTeacher #BiophilicDesign

It was wonderful to welcome @DanEvansol to two of our academies this week. Quote of the day “I have never been more interested in soils”. Whilst with us our students were able to ask questions about soil related careers (forensic soil science was a favourite) and our @EcoSchools groups shared their infiltration rate experiments. #geographyteacher

ESRI UK Teach with GIS - some lovely coastal fieldwork cross sections, impact of urban shade/climate change; love a bit of google street view (esp change over time - see teachmeet @ the GA conference last year), CCTV and traffic and wave cams are good, as well as a bit of drone footage over areas. Even if for revisit/comparisons.

Some times you see the shadows, sometimes you see the light. They do not exist without each other. Your perspective is what changes.

A new GeogPod episode has just been published! In this special episode, Dr Charlene Rose talks to John about her work on the geographies of Caribbean cuisine, which formed the heart of her thesis, and explore themes of superdiversity, creolisation, authenticity and identity. They discuss the interdisciplinary route she took to her research, through work, study and personal experience, and consider why the political, economic and cultural aspects of food make it a rich source of geographical enquiry. Listen to it this weekend with this link: the-ga.org/47ukYQv
