@CSFOCKS @ohnePixel Fair price though, saw people complaining about the same gloves in Fn for 1,3k
English

Yeah, and there's nothing wrong about that. I get that. I just think that we're so brainwashed into thinking that it is okay for the company behind the game to price the skins so high, and we're forgetting that it's a completely different thing when the demand of the players creates a price, whereas Valve is just asuming and taking the whole amount for themselves
English

Terminals simply feel different to open vs cases
Not worse, different. I’m fine paying an items price as long as it’s profitable + I don’t clutter my inventory with stuff I don’t want.
Terminals at $3-5 with 5 chances feels good, has to be priced right long term however… 🤔
FOCKS@CSFOCKS
Finally also @ohnePixel addressing the obvious issue about the new terminals imo
English

With a case you're paying for a random chance for a good item. With a terminal you're paying for a 5x chance for a good item, but then you have to pay for that specific item.
We as the Counter-Strike community are so brainwashed that we think these prices are reasonable set by the COMPANY. Even if the algorithm does it the way you imagine, the difference is that every penny goes into Valves pocket
English

@CSFOCKS @DoctorPlato @ohnePixel Why can't we be sure about that?
What other algorithm is it?
And the prices were set at a reasonable amount (also reflecting current glove prices, so somewhere in that ballpark) when considering that you dont have to pay 2.20€ for a key each time + 5 chances per terminal.
English

@Rombert59836 @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel So it's good and fair that Valve does it then? Missing the point imo. Only because they can, does not mean they should.
And this mentality shows that we are a weak ahh Counter-Strike community and okay with a greedy company that does't give a fuck about the game anymore
English

@CSFOCKS @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel other games dont have the same amt of demand for the skins though, you understand that right?
valve does this because they CAN do this whereas other devs cannot
English

@ShavvyCS2 @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel Stupid "investors" and players = It's fair that Valve is greedy? You're missing the point here imo
English

@CSFOCKS @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel Which is a huge part of why the terminal exists, confirmed by valve or not
English

@beepboopbeep147 @DoctorPlato @ohnePixel First of all, we can't be sure about that. We still don't fully know how it works. And no, when the terminal released there was no demand yet. So the prices were set by Valve?!
English

@CSFOCKS @DoctorPlato @ohnePixel They're not setting the prices themselves... Prices are adjusted depending on demand
English

@ShavvyCS2 @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel again, in that case it's not Valve pushing these prices. It's the stupidity of the players. And that's an entirely other thing
English

@CSFOCKS @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel Right, but I don’t see how that’s any worse than non gem butterfly Doppler’s being pushed to $17k AUD when more than 15 thousand exist over all phases
English

@adsyyycs2 @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel ofc it could always be worse. I mean you can decide if you even want to open the terminal or buy the skin in the first place. But Valve setting the prices themselves and then saying that skins have no monetary value is just insane to me
English

@CSFOCKS @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel I mean, there’s league of legends skins that are £500 and they essentially have 0 value 🤷🏻♂️ and ridiculous Valorant bundles that also have no value. It could be worse (But I still agree that it’s crazy Valve are pricing skins)
English

@ShavvyCS2 @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel the difference is that every penny of the bought skins will go into Valve pockets.
English

@CSFOCKS @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel If anything it’s the consumers fault for feeding into China pumps, just remember people were genuinely paying prices far far far worse than this many times in a day for golds 6-12 months ago with absolutely no reasoning!
English

@ytnoskill1 @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel sad that it came so far that people actually think it's reasonable for Valve to set the prices. So in your eyes, Valve could just get rid of every case, put these skins into terminals and then sell the skins for the price they see on other market places
English

@CSFOCKS @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel Okay, so if the base price was too high, it would simply drop as people would think it's actually too high and weren't buying it. We as a community decided vice's are worth ~10k, so 1.5k isn't too high of a price in people's eyes
English

@ShavvyCS2 @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel I rather buy gloves which prices are set by the community and the money goes to the seller instead of the company behind it
English

@CSFOCKS @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel Literally cheaper than any glove ever, when people bought more the price went up
English

@ShavvyCS2 @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel So in your mind it's right for a multi billion dollar company to offer three digets prices by themselves? Kinda absurd to defend this idea
English

@ytnoskill1 @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel Nah, the problem I have with this multi billion company rn is that they are making up insane prices by themselves even tho they're saying that skins have no monetary value. Since the launch they're offering skins for up to 1.5k€. So the prices weren't set by the community!
English

@CSFOCKS @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel Just don't buy them if they're too expensive, that's literally how WE as players set the prices. We won't buy = prices drop, we do buy = prices remain the same/go higher because we, as players decided it's the amount we are willing to pay.
English

@ShavvyCS2 @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel Why do Valve offer skins for up to 1.5k€ since the launch of the terminal then? Makes no sense. Valve stands behind the idea of skins having no monetary value. So why put an insanely high price on the skins?
English

@CSFOCKS @dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel I mean that’s kind of the whole idea with the terminal, players do set the market…
English

@DoctorPlato @ohnePixel I get where you are coming from. Tho my point is that it's aburd for a company to set these prices so high by themselves. If they really stand behind the idea that skins have no monetary value, why are they giving these absurd prices up to 1.5k€ for a single skin.
English

@CSFOCKS @ohnePixel >Spend thousands on keys to get a skin worth less than the keys combined
>This is okay
>Buy gloves you can resell at a higher price than you purchase
>This is not okay
English

@NotPauseNPlay @ohnePixel yeah plus it's just ABSURD that Valve sets the price
English

@CSFOCKS @ohnePixel That has literally been the entire thing the whole time. You maybe get a gold in 200-300 cases. Sometimes 1000 cases. People act like when they win a 500$ pair of gloves after spending a 1000$ was more of a win than Epidemic being happy about getting the pair he wanted.
English

@CSFOCKS @ohnePixel didn't ohne celebrate the same way a week ago lmao
English

@dima_wallhacks @ohnePixel yeah maybe right now. But my point is that Valve is insanely greedy for setting the prices themselves. Compare that to ANY other game. No developer would ever give their players the chance to buy a skin from them for these insane amounts. Players should set the market prices
English

@CSFOCKS @ohnePixel Isn’t it always profit to buy them from the terminal tho? I got my gloves for 285€ MW and they’re selling for 2k rn
English
