A note about my changing role as a journalist. Over the last several years I’ve grown to really enjoy creating journalistic mobile shorts you watch on your phone. This will now be my primary focus for you. The videos I make will be shared across the country at all TEGNA station websites and apps, including 9NEWS. These videos will focus on issues that matter to you, which include national and breaking news, consumer issues and explainers. My goal is to help you have a better understanding of the daily news cycle and how unfolding events impact your quality of life and wallet. Using investigative and storytelling skills, I’ll be working with a team of data journalists to create multiple topical news videos daily which you’ll be able to see on our app and online. I’ll still make periodic appearances on 9NEWS and other TV stations in our company, so I won’t be completely vanishing from the conventional airwaves, but my compass is pointed directly at the digital world we all live in now. Let me get this straight: @YouTubeTV has no problem automatically billing me each month for its service. Makes sense--they have all the necessary info. But when it comes time to offer it's dinky $20 credit, YTTV suddenly needs the customer to do all the paper work heavy lifting?
