My weird-ass cat will ignore fresh clean water in her bowl but gets excited whenever my wife waters the plants and laps up the water in the saucer. Dirty plant water>fresh water. Apparently.

@FrankBeard I keep thinking back to Lori Stillman's presentation at NACS SOI about changing consumer behaviors when it comes to delivery when I read/write about this. C-stores should take note. Delivery is taking off and DoorDash and others moving in on your territory fast.

@flourgrrrl I've never been so happy to be a Hello Fresh customer. My wife and I are thinking of upping our number of meals to 6 a week to lessen the likelihood that we'll have to visit a grocery store until social distancing is over.

Phishing attacks can happen to any business of any size. Do your employees know how to spot them? It could cost you if they don't.

@FrankBeard Absolutely. A more effective argument against Amazon Go might be its inherent invasion of privacy. These stores collect ridiculously specific sets of data on every customer and Amazon is undoubtedly putting it to use.

@CSPtechwriter I do find it strange when people act as if checkout-free means no employees or customer service. Many tasks don't get completed if you're anchored to a register. Nor is it an ideal place for customer service. Everyone is ready to leave by that point.

Have any of you shopped at an Amazon Go? Honest question, because those stores are full of employees.

@FrankBeard I agree that this kind of thing will be very annoying short-term, but if we can 3D print just about anything accurately today, I'm sure that eventually we'll be able to correctly size jeans digitally. We'll get there.

Out of curiosity, I clicked on the "Chevy" advertisement and was taken to whatever this is. I hope the 2020s are kinder to news organizations so they don't have to attach this nonsense to the bottom of every article.

Can this please go away in the next decade? I'm sure Taboola, Outbrain, and others produce metrics to argue that it works, but who clicks on this stuff? Not just irrelevant, but laughably fake.
