Thank you Mail On Sunday for highlighting this issue of women being forced to share their changing facilities with biological men. This is a direct result of our adoption of gender recognition with absolutely no scrutiny of its effects on women. ESB is hardly alone, unfortunately, in the way that it has completely stonewalled the needs of its female employees. Thank you too to the brave women who, on behalf of their colleagues in many countries, have stood up to the ESB management on this safeguarding issue. #RepealtheGRA @IrishMailSunday @ESBNetworks @RTE_PrimeTime

I’m glad this story is finally coming out. @ESBNetworks allows men to use the women’s showers, women objected to the policy (which @ibec_irl helped produce) asking for privacy and dignity in the workplace esb is a sexist employer who doesn’t believe women deserve boundaries

Hard to imagine the brazen ⁦@NormaFoleyTD1⁩ presenting Pope Leo with shamrock and possibly the bill her department has presented to ⁦@LegionOfMaryTO⁩ for the voluntary work people like my mother did in the Regina Coeli.

In another school, a mother asked to see the SPHE and Bí Cineálta materials being used with her daughter. The school agreed to send some SPHE books home — but refused to show any Bí Cineálta content. They said - to this mother - that these would not be shown to external parties. In one of this school’s policies, it states that there are guidelines for teaching LGBT content within the Bí Cineálta framework and now, this school is refusing to show what Bí Cineálta resources will actually be used. #BíCineálta #SPHE

Day one of the ‘National Convention’ on Education — and you probably never heard a thing. No invite. No voice. Parents were sidelined. Parent organisations were sidelined. The Natural Women’s Council, representing thousands of Irish parents, asked for a seat at the table. Ignored. Excluded. Instead, 60 stakeholders and 30 parents handpicked to echo the government’s agenda - at the expense of children’s innocence and education.

The Irish Times is wrong to attack the Countess, Carol Nolan and Ken O'Flynn. Far from being 'fringe' their concerns are data driven. All evidence available to us shows that there is absolutely a link between immigration and increased criminality. 👇👇👇 thefederalist.com/2023/11/29/iri…

@CSSPA4 Notice the lack of mention of PARENTAL involvement in the drawing up of the Vision for Catholic Education. Notice lack of parents among the stakeholders. Why, especially in an era of @synodalpathway are @CatholicBishops so reluctant to engage with Irish Catholic parents?

@Jklunden And now look at National Parents Council and see the same pattern: employees not real parents queuing up for National Convention on the future of education.

It’s more than curious - it’s controversial - that those shaping policy for children and education are often not parents themselves. From Katherine Zappone to Roderic O’Gorman and Norma Foley, the pattern raises an uncomfortable question: should lived experience matter more? Advocating for children isn’t theoretical. Without the reality of raising a child or navigating the system firsthand, can policymakers truly understand the impact of their decisions? At what point do we ask whether “skin in the game” isn’t just desirable—but essential?
