I tend to avoid Twitter because it's full of man-children like Pat who poison political debate with unwarranted arrogance, vapid arguments and bullying. @lizatliz Not to say there weren't officials making the argument that Hitler did more damage to Germany alive (and Churchill vacillated), there just wasn't any such ban and various Allied plans evolved even into 1945.

@lizatliz It's not true, you're right. E.g. Churchill supported Operation Foxley in 1944. It only didn't go ahead because Hitler moved from the Berghof.

@lizatliz They also don't seem to realise just how many of the accounts they argue with on these platforms are literally bots, parodies or trolls. Seems like an enormous waste of one's time and counterproductive politically if you're just going to basically go "nuh uh" to every debate lol.

Idiots like him are why political discourse is so depressing right now. There's a generation of social media addicts who can no longer think or consider other views. It's similar to AI psychosis, they've just existed too long in a reinforcing narcissistic feedback loop.
