We’re rolling into the holiday season where the markets will offer little to nothing over the next 2 weeks. This is the time you should practice patience… You don’t want to be that guy checking the charts every 5 minutes during the Christmas / New Years function.

Why is it better to leave that lower gap open? When you have a large imbalance like the daily FVG here, if you are bullish, you want to see the majority of reactions in the upper portion, which would be the Premium level of the imbalance. Thus, in an HTF Imbalance, when the price returns to Premium, an inversion is created. So, the Premium becomes the Discount.

Divergence Between Dollar Index And Stock Indices ✍ The DXY failed to form a head and shoulders pattern (HH) while we made that low-side move (LL) at 10:12. That LL wasn't accompanied by an HH in the DXY. That's DXY SMT. ✍ A symmetric market is one where, if we have LL in ES, NQ, and YM, and HH in DXY, in a perfect world, that's what you would want to see. If at any point you see any of those break the magnitude, it's telling you that a sentiment shift is developing. You must be able to measure these things in real time. If you want to be an accurate day trader and trade with an institutional mindset, these are the tools and concepts they use. This works because there's a shift in all these algorithms. DXY, ES, NQ, and YM all operate on the same algorithm. They're running under the same algorithm, but each has a separate one. When they're manipulated, that crack is the signal: "Now's the time!" 💎 The market needs to signal to that group of Smart Money that it's time to start working.
