Did Photoshop 26 change how smart objects work? It now makes the document size the smart object instead of the layer bounds. Any workarounds?

If you are a heavy photo/video user with tons of files across multiple hard drives/arrays/NAS, I just found the coolest program called NeoFinder. It's a program you can search your entire photo/video catalog without having to plug in each drive one by one. cdfinder.de/index.html
