@PippaCrerar The only way that works is if they also freeze banks raising interest rates.
Otherwise why on earth would renters just accept that? Interest rates rise, forcing say a £200 monthly increase, so they just eat those costs, plus pay for general upkeep? No incentive at all

Councillor apologises after asking council call handler to speak English as critics agree with her
Eastbourne Borough Councillor Elaine Hamilton, in her 60s, called the council helpdesk and struggled to understand the operator.
She politely said “I’m sorry but I can’t understand you, can I speak to someone who can speak English please?”
The comment triggered a backlash with some social media users branding her racist.
Hamilton has now issued a statement apologising and saying she regretted any offence caused.
Critics including local residents and fellow councillors have agreed with her, arguing English should be the language used for all council services so ratepayers can be properly understood.

This is backed by the worlds position on many other areas that restrict children until they’re of age, as well as being backed by law in many places

@Cal_Talks @weirdrue @tenyearsnow I don’t brush off their experience. The facts remain that it’s extraordinarily rare and never life-threatening (unlike untreated GD). Their existence doesn’t imply anything because they were misdiagnosed. Actual trans ppl don’t desist.

I tell you what Adam has gotten a free pass essentially because of how much of a dick David Hayes was to him, and rightfully lots felt sorry for him. But that doesn’t mean his behaviour against Jimmy Bullard wasn’t abhorrent, dunno how people can support that at all
