World #1 junior, 17-year-old Miles Russell leads the KFT Monday Q thru the morning wave with a bogey free 63. He opened his round with 5 birdies in the first 6 holes. (Only played the last 12 in 2-under, not sure he is going to cut it in the pro game /s)

The new Monday Q website has a lot of pretty sweet features. But live leaderboards for all the Monday Qs being played across different tours is SICK. (Shoutout to Tyler for all his hard work on this).

Steve Alker is the most decorated Monday Q success story, and I’m not sure it’s close. In 2021 he went to a Champions Monday Q, made it thru and finished T7 to get into the next event. He never looked back. He’s played 100 total Champions events, just won his 11th event today and has made nearly $15,000,000. This is for a lifetime grinder, who once didn’t make a single cut in 21 events on KFT. One Monday changed his life.

Reminder that a Monday Q changed Cam Young’s life. Had no status, Monday Q’d into a KFT event in Nebraska, finished 11th, got him into next event, finished 14th that week, earned another start, finished 6th, earned another week, finished 2nd, earned membership and has never looked back. Now a Players Champion. It all started at a Monday Q in Nebraska.

As it seems opposite field events will possibly go away next season, a reminder that, Colin Morikawa Tony Finau Victor Hovland Akshay Bhatia Ryan Gerard All got there first win at opposite field events. Now Blades Brown is tied for the lead. It's events like these that help future stars learn how to win, how grinders keep a place to play. I hope we don't see the end of them.

During his gym warm up at the @APinv Saturday @McIlroyRory tweaked a muscle in his lower back. He tried to work through it but ultimately decided to WD. Rory told me he could have possibly played through it but with @THEPLAYERS & @TheMasters coming up it was best to be cautious.
