Just hours before Trump comes to the Capitol for a celebratory bill signing for the housing bill, he says it is of "minor importance" and notes Elizabeth Warren's involvement. In case you missed it, Trump is pushing for SAVE America Act and to blow up the filibuster -- neither of which have the requisite votes for passage. Should be a very interesting day.

Republican Senator Thom Tillis goes SCORCHED EARTH on Trump — trashes the Iran deal, the slush fund, AND Trump's "incompetent sycophant" DNI pick After deciding that he wouldn’t run for re-election, Republican Senator Thom Tillis is DONE pretending. In a remarkable session with CNN's Manu Raju and other reporters, Tillis unloaded on Trump's entire agenda — and held NOTHING back. On the Iran deal, Tillis confirmed what Obama, Pence, and a former NATO ambassador have all said: it's a disaster. "We're back to pre-JCPOA relief on oil sanctions," he said. "I think they're stringing them along." Then he laid out the brutal cost: "Estimated $100 BILLION spent today, 13 service members lost their lives. Over 360 people have been injured. If all we do is get back to the JCPOA, that would be an absolute CATASTROPHE." On the insane double standard between alleged Reflecting Pool "vandals" and pardoned January 6th rioters, Tillis was incredulous: "You're telling me that damaging a lining in the reflecting pool is something Pirro wants to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law — and yet they're releasing people who pled guilty to ASSAULTING A POLICE OFFICER. What freaking parallel universe did I just wake up in?" He even mocked Trump's absurd claim that someone slashed the pool with a knife: "I'd like to think a $15 million membrane can withstand a pocketknife." On Bill Pulte, Trump's unqualified pick to run national intelligence, Tillis was savage: "I think he's an incompetent sycophant and not the right person to lead DNI." He predicted Pulte's mass firings would be "another hot, steamy pile of DOJ shit" and warned the next director would inherit "a mess left behind by Pulte." And on Trump's demand that the Senate pass his Save America Act, Tillis flatly dismissed it: "This is a waste of time. It's a distraction, and it's not going to happen in this Congress." His message to Trump at their lunch? "He's just got to understand some of the limits."
