Yes, Israel is the only democratic nation in the Middle East, but Democracy is only one form a government. Ot's not better than others, every country needs to find a system that works for them.
I'm a US citizen and I'll be the first to tell you that US styled democracy is an absolute sham. It doesn't serve the people and is loaded with corruption. I don't know a single US citizen in my friend/family circle that trusts the government nor thinks the government serves their interests.
Once again we see this classic rebuttal of "Israel is a democracy" as if there is moral obligation to support them based on their style of government? No, we need to call out any government that consistently breaks human rights, and there is no greater example of this than Israel who has carried out a genocide against the Palestinians.
We have to call a spade a spade instead of giving Israel the pass simply because "they are a democracy". Honestly who gives a damn what style their government is, hold all nations and leaders accountable

@thecyrusjanssen Cyrus, Israel is the only democratic nation in the middle east where human rights are respected. They're not perfect yet in comparison to most of the Gulf States they don't build their economies on indentured servitude and oppress women with 7th century ideas.

The problem with this argument is that Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Oman (!) made no deals with Israel, drew closer to Iran, and still ended up as frontline states in this war.

I was always stunned by the lunacy of the Abraham Accords from an Emirati perspective. The UAE's conflict with Iran is far more resolvable than Israel's conflict with Iran. By joining the Abraham Accords and explicitly becoming a member of Israel's anti-Iran bloc, the UAE essentially attached itself to Israel's conflict with Iran - even though Israel is 1000 miles from Iran, while the UAE is only 50 miles from Iran's shores. The UAE made itself a frontline state in Israel's fight with Iran. Abu Dhabi is now paying the price for this mistake. Geography is ensuring that the key decisions are made elsewhere - while it pays the highest price.
