Toronto Regional Champion! This one meant the most to me, and that's why I got so emotional toward the end. My grandmother was diagnosed with glioblastoma and passed away last week. I even contemplated skipping this event altogether, but I told myself I would win in her memory.

This is so silly. Let’s say the 8 seed beats the 1 seed—then they’re stuck losing the coin flip throughout the entire top cut. This just makes no sense.

@TheBoltUp24 I think in the first round of top cut it’s great but not throughout.

@CalvinConnorTCG Why shouldn't you give an advantage to the higher seed? Sports do it all the time with home field advantage.

Meanwhile this was fine for a regional winner in TCG. The inconsistency here is the real issue. There’s a huge difference between malicious taunting and the natural release of emotion after a win. Players deserve a clear standard from TPCI instead of being stripped of titles due to the company’s lack of transparency.

@FrostedCaribou do agree with your statement that there should have been no penalty, and there are many inconsistencies in rulings in the Pokémon TCG. Emotion and pop-offs are never a bad thing—it just shows how much it means to them.

It’s not about the situations being identical. Whether it’s the final attack or a guaranteed win state that was then played out, both are moments of adrenaline before the game is technically "over." If the community and TPCI can recognize that your reaction was a product of a massive win and emotions, then that same grace should be extended to others. Or if TPCI wants to set hard rules, they can do that transparently. Respectfully this isn’t about you or anyone as an individual or a player, it’s about TPCI’s poor management and rulings leading to these problems.

My little brother Cameron won his third Regional Championship of this season at the Houston Regional Championship with an undefeated 9–0 record through Swiss and top cut. I’m super happy for him and proud of all the hard work he’s putting in.
