📘 #MHStories3 Dev Diaries 24 📕 Hello everyone, I'm Miyata, the composer. For the song ‘Echoing Wings’ , English lyrics were ultimately used, but we initially created it from a Japanese lyric draft. We crafted this draft to evoke the world of Monster Hunter Stories 3, its monsters, the Riders coexisting with their Monsties, and to allow listeners to recall scenes from the story at various points. A consistent theme throughout the Stories series is a ‘Story confronting the unknown threats of nature’. As these tales depict how the Riders act against such natural threats, we incorporated that imagery into the lyrics. When creating the draft lyrics, we particularly emphasised that each character has their own convictions and their own sense of ‘justice’. These “justices” sometimes clash, creating friction not only against nature but also between people. The lyrics take an overview of how the protagonist and everyone else commits themselves to their paths. If you haven't heard the song yet, you can listen to it on the Monster Hunter YouTube channel!
