Important Notice 🚨 Some clever people raised some clever questions related to the dreadful topic of "compliance" which need to be addressed👇: Until very recently, I was under the assumption that as long as our upcoming experimental DEX did not offer stable-coins and was 100% decentralized, everything would be fine under the new MiCA regulations. While this is true for the most part, upon further digging a new issue has arisen which forces us as a community to make a decision. We basically have 3 options:💡💡 1) Raise 150k $ in funds; become an actual enterprise and make everything fully official and compliant. ~ This is possible, but raising the funds is unrealistic at this point. 2.)Wait for "Swaptopia" to launch (and use their compliant smart contracts/infrastructure) ~easiest option but unsatisfying 3.)Form a fully transparent DAO, make everything open source and let the community run the project without any admins. While the Dex as of now is virtually 100% decentralized, MiCa treats it more like 85%. In order to get to 100% a DAO needs to be formed and the admin needs to "throw away the admin keys". ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To me personally, obviously the third option is the most realistic and best one. Essentially, when everything is done, it makes the project much stronger, more professional and trustworthy...and of course "fully compliant". This is not much of a setback but merely a needed reconfiguration. However, obviously this will stretch the expected timeline a bit further because we will need to deliver a perfect product before we can "throw away the keys" and let the community take over. We are already in the process of deploying fresh "fully compliant" smart contracts that take these future steps into consideration. Nonetheless, this is a bit disheartening to me personally because I expected - after spending thousands of $ to build this infrastructure out of my own pocket - to go beta/public sooner. Making the platform not only 80% but fully compliant basically doubles the expected workload. Overall, this is not gamebreaking issue but obviously it comes with more development co$ts and stretches the expected timeline - it will be a bit of a journey but in the end we will basically have a fully functional, fully compliant, fully autonomous, DAO-Community driven Mini Dex.🔥🔥🔥 If you want to help with devving, the initial formation of the DAO or funding in general. Please reach out here or contact@coredrop.fun This being said, CoreDrop is going to be much more than a simple DEX (More infos soon!😆). However, for the DEX part, we need to be fully compliant in order to evade legal issues in the future. We are definitely lucky to be on the #Core Blockchain this early and that #CodeTech is so far ahead of the competition when it comes to "Compliance". For Clarification: "Active Core Wallet" means that there has been at least 1 transaction on the wallet. However, Airdrop requirements will likely increase in the future to prevent people from taking fraudulent advantage.

I guess I should have known better 🙄 Some numbers did not make logical sense to me, so I did some digging and found out that quite a few people were trying to game the $dockie airdrop by creating several fresh additional #CorePass wallets. 😓 Obviously this sort of behaviour is neither desired nor permitted. ⛔️ Going forward only active CorePass Wallets are eligible for airdrops. Furthermore, if you tried to gain an unfair advantage by creating more than 1 extra corepass, you will most likely be excluded from using #CoreDrop . Your behaviour is easily trackable on the blockchain, so I am not really sure what some people were thinking 🤣🤷‍♂️ Anyways, it was probably a bit naive of me to assume that people would not try to game the system at this stage of development 🤷‍♂️ I find it a bit sad and pathetic to be honest. ~ Captain Core
