#UnpopularOpinion #597. Police officers. Thank you for doing a good but challenging job in this country. I know the force wants to deliver a peaceful election season. That’s what the IGP promised Ugandans & that’s what the law demands of you. As you do this, remember, that there’re no heroes in causing death, suffering, harm, damage, to the people of Uganda & irreparable damage to property & the reputation of government. If any individual officer thinks that someone somewhere is proud of their unlawful actions & abuse of human rights, then they’re deceiving themselves. He/she will be the first to call for action against you. You will be isolated & charged before the courts of law. Treat people as per the law & remain resolute to what the law prescribes. Stop tearing candidates posters. Stop drawing guns & threatening to shoot people. Guns are given to you to protect yourself & citizens from looming danger of criminal elements. You are not the criminal element. Your job is to protect the people, their rights & property. When you treat them according to the law, they will respect & support your actions. The reverse is true. You came from the community. You will go back to the community when you retire. The community will treat you the way you treated them. May God bless you as you strive to deliver a peaceful election season in this country. @PoliceUg

Finding out (today) that the Equator cuts through Entebbe has left me feeling the exact same was I felt last year when I found out that we have flamingos 🦩 in Uganda. How are we not making the most of these easy wins? Even that equator at Kayabwe needs fixing.

How the PhD at the NRM Electoral Commission counted votes after the MP for Older Persons Western Region election close to 3 am on 26th August 2025. It is not surprising that we ended up with 430 votes yet the delegates are only 329, many of whom had been frustrated into leaving.

@LydiaNakayenze Regardless of the field, for him to have attained such a qualification, he must have obtained training enough to have the most basic of Maths skills! A nursery school kid in Uganda can count better than that.

In this case, the candidate who benefitted was Mrs. Jacqueline Mbabazi. Tanga ended up with a Tally of 430 votes when the delegates are only 329. Shame!

We are NRM. We love the Party. As a generation that desires to see things done the right way, we cannot just look on in silence. with all due respect, Dear @KagutaMuseveni, we kindly request that you appoint a new person to oversee the NRM electoral processes and activities.

@NRMOnline's sham election. Older persons voted in the dark after 2am. They were there, exhausted, sleeping, hungry coz there was no supper, sick, collapsing! Many left and Tanga did his thing personally. Electoral college has 329voters his tally had 430 voters. Shame!

Honestly how do you expect older persons to start lining up at this time to vote? They are exhausted, they are hungry, they are disoriented!

I spent the last two days walking with my mother through the accreditation and election process. One needs to write a book. Anyway, as we speak, the Older Persons have not yet even started voting. They are exhausted and exasperated. Akazanyo kafuuse akazanyo!

We have a healthy baby girl weighing 3.6 kg. Congratulations to the proud parents! The hospital began offering IVF services in August 2024, and we are thrilled to report 11 confirmed pregnancies so far. A milestone worth celebrating as we continue expanding access to advanced specialized services to the country.
