One problem in Web3 communities is that participation is weak! Likes, follows, task campaigns… they create activity, but not necessarily converted to users. RedHorse is running a different structure. DePIN needs real economics! @ionet is rolling out a new token model called the Incentive Dynamic Engine (IDE), and it’s one of the more thoughtful approaches we’ve seen for decentralized AI infrastructure. At a high level: io.net is a decentralized GPU network for AI, letting teams rent compute from thousands of independent suppliers instead of relying on Big Cloud. IDE is the engine that keeps that network stable. IDE ties token emissions, burns, and supplier rewards to real GPU usage and real revenue. • When network revenue covers supplier payouts → surplus gets burned or stored, creating deflation over time • When revenue dips → IDE uses adaptive emissions or reserves to keep supplier payouts stable • Supplier rewards are pegged to USD value, so providers don’t get wrecked by token volatility • At least 50% of net revenue goes toward burns once payouts are covered Why this matters? Most DePIN models inflate early, crash later, and lose suppliers when prices fall. IDE is explicitly designed to avoid that death spiral by smoothing rewards while still letting demand drive long-term token value. This is especially important for AI teams and enterprises that need predictable costs. It pairs directly with io.intelligence, the AI build platform that actually consumes this compute.
