@matt_vanswol @libsoftiktok We have lost our humanity.

@libsoftiktok They watched her die or ran away.
I almost can't believe the video.
I don't WANT to believe the video.
I can't believe that anyone would just allow her to die alone, in full view of everyone.
But she did. That's exactly what happened.
Why???!!!!!!!!

I am so grateful to @Hypothesisfund for this honor. I am so excited about the work we will be doing to decode the decisions that cells make:
Should they stay or should they go? #DevBio #CellBio #NeuralCrest 💫

So grateful to the awesome scientists in my lab @ucdavis for their willingness to do this every year! We had a few folks missing but it was a great photoshoot! Big thanks to @davenportauthor for coming in clutch as our photographer again! More pics here: crystalrogersphd.com/people.html

@RogersLabUCD @UCD_APC @ucdavisvetmed I love seeing your enthusiasm and passion in getting young folks into the lab. You are truly an amazing scientist, Crystal. Keep up the great work! 👍🤗🤗🤗

Take your kids to work day, Rogers Lab style! We learned about axolotls, conservation, #DevBio, and did coloring and clay crafts! Huge thanks to the @UCD_APC @ucdavisvetmed staff, my students for helping to make this event a success, and to the parents that brought their kids!

I was honored to join some amazing scientists in sharing my perspective for the Juneteenth issue of Cell Voices: “How do DEI initiatives impact STEMM, and why do we still need them?”
Huge thanks to @phdgprotein86 for coordinating and including me!

Two-Spirit (gay and lesbian and trans) people have been living here in North America for thousands of years prior to the arrival of the white man. They even predate Christianity. Therefore, they have more right to be here than colonizing Christian immigrants. (And their descendants.) Agree? 🪶🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️

My son is 15
I never bought him a pride onesie when he was a baby.
I never read him a book that had two moms as part of the storyline.
When he was little stores and businesses didn’t have LGBTQ+ displays and we didn’t celebrate pride month.
He was raised Catholic, and went to church.
Guess what? He is gay.
The rainbow won’t make your kids gay. They are born that way. A display in a store won’t make your kid trans, they are born that way.
If you don’t love and accept them for who they are, YOU are a shitty parent.
They haven’t failed, you have.

@RogersLabUCD Even before auto-alignment, we knew enough to not let this happen… 😩

@rossbiology We spend to much time teaching facts at students and not enough time engaging students in meaningful critical thinking activities.

Many professionals that are QTing this in response don't know what STEM education is

Which of your STEM education related opinions would get you in this position?
