Any alternatives to Smart Art in Word? I want to go beyond bullets, text boxes, etc. But Smart Art in Word isn't doing for me. Any suggestions?

Covid hits our house again. At least my kid feels ok and is approaching this with humor.

Please never, ever, ever say "our study is the first to do X." Likely, you are wrong, especially given lags in publication. Also, what's the value in being first? Better to be right, thorough, and careful.

This is what Covid+ looks like at our house, after 21 months of being so careful. To me, it feels like guilt, worry, stress, and fear…but also gratitude that we are low-risk, fully vaxxed/boosted, and privileged to have access to testing and the ability to work from home.

We must keep using our voices holding our electeds accountable. We have not nearly tried everything in the toolbox yet. We can’t give up.

@drjenndowd @OxfordDemSci So many data failures around COVID stem from disciplinary silos. Adjusting for age structure of a pop is a no brainer to many demographers but not to others. How can our disciplines share our basic tools with each other better?

I really don't understand how people keep trying to estimate the severity of omicron without adjusting for age distributions. The relative risk with previous waves varied so enormously by age, a small change in ages or vaccination age distribution can massively affect severity
