Time to fly, little butterflies! We had so much fun raising butterflies in class! Releasing them was bittersweet but they had to be set free to complete their life cycle. :(

Celebrate. Acknowledge. Participate. Respect.
Today our grade ones did rock paintings of gifts from the earth. They did an amazing job discussing the importance of protecting and respecting the earth. Wow! @cowanelementary
We took our chickens outside for story time and followed Rosie's Walk along the fence, through the grass, around the trees, etc! Such fun to walk in a character's path! @cowanelementary
Au revoir Mme Thais. We had a wonderful year with our french language monitor but all good things must come to an end. We will all miss you so much

Learning about life cycles in grade one. So, which came first- the chicken or the egg? Can't wait to take these out for a walk and a read aloud!! @cowanelementary
Awesome discovery! Birds do not always build nests in trees. A cozy corner with a missing brick can serve the same purpose. Minds blown! @cowanelementary
Special guest day at CHE! Basketball training with a Seahawk, meditation circle, Easter cupcake decorating and a visit from our mounted police. What a fantastic day! @cowanelementary
