@SCJGaminggg @RinoTheBouncer The game is still up right now but they announced 2 weeks after their big expansion around the end of 2025 that the game will no longer be receiving content updates, they laid off the entire dev team, and set an approximate time when the servers will be shut down :(

@Asmongold @playnewworld A game with an extremely solid foundation. No monthly payments, solid crafting and item systems, and better combat than many other similar ones. But it doesn't have good legs.. Spikes in players then drops in players. And its honestly more fun when less people are playing.

@KatContii It’s truly so ridiculous to announce this right after a major expansion and overhaul of gear systems. I’m at a loss for words.

No way New World is shutting down when they just launched their best content to date. The game finally had a chase, a whole redesign of the gear system, a change in lead for the game, only to get shafted. I guess I’m more upset that AGS delivered us heartbreak once more, after this update finally left like the game had hope. Unbelievable.
