Compiled this neat dataset of the most recent hurricane strike per coastal US county. A handful of counties, especially across the Mid-Atlantic and New England, haven't seen a hurricane strike in 100+ years. The US east coast recently has been relatively lucky when it comes to strong hurricanes.

Turning out sunny today... but showers and thunderstorms are possible again tomorrow, first in the morning, and then again in the evening. The storms later in the day may turn severe with flash flooding, damaging winds, hail or even an isolated tornado. @wbaltv11

Tides are running 1-4 feet above normal on the Bay, due to persistent onshore winds. The worst flooding will be on the western shore in Anne Arundel, Baltimore City, Baltimore and Harford Counties. @wbaltv11
