I'm excited to share our latest collaboration with @fidocklab using mixed alkyl/aryl phosphonates to identify possible drug targets in Plasmodium. Our work offers a possible method for deciphering important drug targets, mechanism of action, and mechanisms of resistance.

This work once again shows the value of targeting serine hydrolases within the parasite with covalent molecules that prevent the rapid evolution of resistance. These types of strategies will be invaluable in the identification of novel mechanisms of action.
