In his latest mock, Corey Pronman (@coreypronman) has Ivar Stenberg going at #2 to the San Jose Sharks and Chase Reid going at #4 to the Chicago #Blackhawks. He notes that it’s been particularly hard to nail down the Sharks pick and it’s 50/50.

Despite the WHL’s Portland Winterhawks acquiring the playing rights for Mason West today, West is still coming to play for Michigan State in the fall, I’m told.
West is a first round pick of the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2025 NHL Draft.

This model was far too high on Kantserov last season, in part because its estimation of the KHL was out-of-date. He still looks very good for a 5'9 former 2nd round pick however.

Another important note:
The #Blackhawks will take the BPA at #4. If that’s a right-handed defenseman then they’ll take that right-handed defenseman. Their massive investments in Artyom Levshunov and Sam Rinzel won’t prevent them from doing so.

Final Note (RE: Bedard’s Contract):
Things could’ve changed in the last week but Seravalli said that numbers haven’t even been exchanged between Bedard’s representatives and the #Blackhawks.
He implied that Bedard’s camp is kind of dragging their feet in this negotiation.

When talking about Vancouver, Seravalli said that their scouting staff is split into three different factions. One faction wants Stenberg, one wants Malhotra and another wants Verhoeff.
