I booked a window seat months in advance.
This lady walks up with her son and goes, “my son wants the window, can you move?”
I said, “sure… where am I moving to?”
She points to a middle seat. Between two grown men. No window and no legroom, I looked at her and said, “so you want me to give up the seat I planned and paid for… so your son can look at clouds?”
She goes, “he’s really excited.”
I said, “he’s about to be really resilient.”
Like be serious. You had the same booking options I did. You saw the seat map. You saw the prices. You made a choice. Now suddenly I’m part of your parenting plan?
I told her, “your son will survive not seeing clouds.”
She looked at me like I just canceled his childhood.
The entitlement is wild. People really think “no” is a personal attack. No, it’s just a boundary.
