It truly would've been the most iconic year for festivals, the biggest loss of our lives

Sorry but this whole wireless/kanye situation is NOTHING compared to what the gays and the girls lost to covid in 2020

something shifted in 2020 and honestly if you felt it you’re not crazy
2016 was peak. music was better, social media was still fun, people actually hung out in person, nobody was angry all the time. life just felt lighter.
there was an energy to everything that’s hard to explain but everyone who was there knows exactly what i’m talking about
then 2020 happened and it’s like someone flipped a switch.
the lockdowns broke something in people that never fully healed.
relationships changed. attention spans disappeared. everyone got addicted to their screens and forgot how to just exist.
now every year feels faster than the last.
months blend together. nothing hits the same.
you’re doing more but feeling less.
scrolling through life instead of living it..
the world before 2020 and the world after 2020 are two completely different places and deep down everyone knows it
we didn’t just lose time during lockdowns.
we lost something that hasn’t come back yet
and I am trying to find it & think it’s coming sooner than most expect

I have a friend who doesn’t tell anyone anything. You won’t know she’s about to move until she has already moved. You won’t know she’s getting a car until she already has one. Even the problems between her and her boyfriend are none of our business.
I used to think she wasn’t being a good friend because she didn’t share her personal life. But now I understand why she doesn’t. It’s nothing personal, she just keeps her business private. And as I get older, I definitely see why.

Call me a bad feminist but I don’t really care about grok undressing women.
A) this has always been possible as long as photoshop has existed.
B) it’s not real. The same way if you were edited to be really fat or having a different colour hair.
C) if you post online, you can’t protect yourself from mean comments.
Obviously it’s not a good thing and if it’s done about children, it should be a legal matter.
But it’s hard to take this seriously when there are so many more pressing issues facing women, e.g. the grooming gangs.
Ultimately, it’s just an excuse to ban X and cripple our freedom of speech.
