@BrutalBagpipes @GameRant I think a couple games could be argued to be deserving of being on this list, but yeah, it's more which games have the biggest normie appeal which isn't really an indicator of quality. Frankly I'm shocked Cod didn't wind up on here

@GenePark The challenges are absolutely horrible to do when you have progressed. Some of them are insanely nieche to begin with. They are easily the most annoying thing in the game imo.

i endorse this. it's interesting that most of us are running into this "problem" now that people are reaching the endgame, but there are still dozens of combat challenges to do, and very short and hard to find opportunities to do combat. fort respawn system would be so welcome

@bourema_imad @duck585c Sure. But their problem is also that 3 players sole job is to help make sure Donk performs. Hard to shine with that strat.

@RAKSWALKER @SpawnYaardReply It has a bit of a difficulty problem after act3 imo. For me atleast I got insta killed by many bosses then came back around a bit later after like 3 (really broken) buffs and Maelle just started melting everyone😂

Gave my colleague Expedition 33 physical disc to play the game but he preferred YouTube. He played half way and returned it to me. He said he enjoyed the game very much but it started to feel repetitive and he just saw the rest of the game on YouTube and called it a day 🤷

@KristianMarie14 @SpawnYaardReply I mean E33 has one of the greatest stories in video games so I understand watching the plot. Gameplay is turn based so it obviously isnt everyones cup of tea although I really enjoyed it.

@fnd_max @Poogieboy Kinda funny reading this as he was pretty much useless in my eyes. Never got the hang of his special skills but there are quite many ways to play the game and everyone is good with different builds. I just stuck with sciel, gustave and Maelle.

@Poogieboy Wait until you get to act 2 and you’ll unlock the GOAT monoco I love him he’s got such a ridiculous variety in combat. I made him my dedicated tank and support but he still hits like a fucking truck

Thanks having a blast. can totally see what people were getting at! Surprised the combat is hooking me mostly because of each character having a unique mechanic and the pictos / lumeina / skill tree. Also i wish more games had zones to explore without a map!!

@Nikfor_ Trying to do the challenges might be it for me too. I have cleared so much of the maps that its insanely annoying to find the specific scenarios to get cannon kills or 7 kills with explosion etc. Quite many of them are actully hard too for absolutely no reason.

85 hours into Crimson Desert and the burnout finally hit me. It’s a great game, but I don’t want to force myself when I’m clearly in the mood to play something else. Years ago, when I had more free time, I would’ve pushed through without thinking. Life is different now, and I just can’t stick to one game for that long anymore. On top of that, there’s a lot going on in my mind lately and my real job has been disappointing me, which definitely affects my mood and how I approach gaming. I’ll make another post about that with more explanation someday. Because of all that, I decided to switch things up. I’ll start something new later today after my long trip to Munich. Already downloaded what I want to play next. It’s a soulslike. I also deleted Starfield. I played it a lot in 2023 and right now I just don’t have the interest to try the DLCs. I’m also getting back into posting about emulators like I did a few weeks ago. This time I’ll do more testing, because there’s clearly a lot of interest in emulators like RPCS3 and I’ve barely played anything on them even though I have a ton of games ready to try. And Samson drops in the next hours. I’m really curious to see what people will say about it. Anyone here planning to play it and share your thoughts so I can see what you think of the game. Wishing fun to everyone jumping into Starfield for the first time or continuing their journey in Crimson Desert.
