@TonyKhan congratulations on another great show in Portland. I've attended every AEW show in Portland besides the first do to prior commitments. Today's show was the best. Ciampa vs Darby Allin gets my vote for MOTY. My question why is John Moxley never in action in Portland?

@GaySonjaTMorgan Majority were the girlfriends of wrestlers or sisters whoever they could wrap into appearing, majority of the girls had very little training so wrestling pros like Jackie and Debbie Combs they were not ready for.

According Chris, who is the world foremost expert on Women in the Wrestling biz, Vicki Williams birthday is actually in May on the 18th and she will be 76 rather than the 70 I posted today for her birthday. This birthday and RIP stuff is honestly the most hassle thing i do, due to at least one or two corrections a week, but i still feel like its worth it. So, happy birthday early, Vicki.

@tonyrichards4 Hey Tony, Vicki was born May 18, 1950. The birthdate floating around online is incorrect. She is still living in Savannah, Georgia. I was able to speak to her albeit briefly, she was not interested in talking about her wrestling days and asked not to be contacted again.

Happy Birthday to Vicki Williams, female wrestler from the territory era, who turns 70 today! Williams entered the business at a remarkably young age. At just 14, she began training under Moolah and made her in-ring debut that same year. Her early matches in the WWWF showcased a flashy, athletic style that stood out in an era when many female wrestlers relied more on brawling or basic holds. Known for her signature Flying Headscissors and often competing barefoot, Williams brought speed, agility, and charisma to the ring. Fans and promoters alike took notice: by 1972, she was already challenging Moolah for the singles title in high-profile bouts, including a match at the inaugural Superbowl of Wrestling in Cleveland and the first women’s match ever held at Madison Square Garden on July 1, 1972. Her Flying Headscissors and barefoot, high-flying approach influenced a generation of female wrestlers who would later benefit from the more structured opportunities of the 1980s and beyond.
