@BigDL Portsmouth did the same job on us that we've done on so many teams – get a couple of goals and shut us down. Worrying that we never really looked like getting back into it. Sunday's game feels even bigger now.

@portraitinflesh Apologies for jumping in on the side-issue here, but I found out recently why we call them public schools: they were schools that anyone, anywhere in the country, could send their kids too (if they had the money, obviously). Think of public meaning national as opposed to local.

naval would never send his kids to the frontlines. no rich person has ever gone to war for their country. war is reserved for low to mid iq people who can’t see how pointless it is to risk your own life for the "common good" of your country, especially if half the country despises you also it’s a whole other game to go into war for a strong nation like america or a weak nation like ukraine where your chances of survival are slim the elite looks at the middle class and below and virtual signals them into a high risk activity bc they see them as lesser. it’s not even conscious, it’s an automatic response

@iseult It gives the lie to the claim that pronouns are just about politeness and respect. They want us to mean it – to indicate by using she/her pronouns for a trans woman than we believe that person is a woman. A great example of how they're trying to control and impose on us.
