The Broken Arrow City Council will hold its second regular meeting in March to consider more than 60 items including the three items below. The full agenda is available online now, and a livestream begins when the meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.

Progress as promised! You voted for it, and construction begins next week to widen County Line Road between Albany (61st) and Omaha (51st) streets. The construction crew is scheduled to be on site on March 24 to begin the improvements for this project.

Melinda Park residents learned about the upcoming street rehabilitation project in their neighborhood. The $2.65 million construction contract will include mill and overlay of the existing pavement, some sidewalk replacement, curb and gutter, and storm sewer work.

Evans Road between SH-51 and 101st Street will be temporarily closed during Spring Break, March 16 - 20. This closure is necessary as crews begin reconstructing the roadway. Drivers will need to route to 101st St. via the Creek Turnpike or the Oneta Rd. exit off SH-51.

Improvements are coming soon to the intersection of Aspen Avenue and Tucson Street (121st). This construction contract is Phase 2 of the overall improvements projects along Aspen Ave. from Tucson St. to the entrance of Indian Springs Sports Complex.

Improvements are coming soon to the intersection of Washington (91st) and 9th (Lynn Lane) streets. The construction project includes the expansion of the intersection to five lanes in all directions which will provide more dedicated turn lanes and improve traffic flow.

Oklahoma Turnpike Authority will temporarily close a small section of New Orleans Street from Garnett Road to just east of Rose West Dog Park 2/15 at 8 p.m., until 2/16 at 3 a.m. The closure is necessary for OTA to safely bring down the turnpike bridge deck.
