Lines and four partners have completed Japan’s first ship-to-ship #methanol bunkering operation, transferring domestically produced methanol to a dual-fuel vessel at Yokohama’s Keihin Port. The fuel, derived from waste or plant-based feedstocks, is designed to deliver carbon-neutral lifecycle emissions. The milestone marks a practical step in building Japan’s alternative fuel infrastructure and reinforces methanol’s role in maritime decarbonisation.
