I’m just going to put this out there. Please update the X app on Mac so it auto-updates the latest tweets. The old version does it, but the new one does not. A backward step, me thinks

@AntiEVidiots If platforms are shared, think Audi Q4 Etron and VW ID4 on the same platform, then why do we not see the Audi TT roadster for or example. ? There are segments that are simply not being looked at. I understand volume need to be there but where are the cabriolets?

Topical question: why can Tesla, China & Korea produce EVs that people want, whereas European manufacturers struggle? Or do I have that wrong?

Just seen the Apple M4 MacBook Pro announcement. Aside from the MacBook Pro, as good as it is and I want one, have we just seen and witnessed Tim Cook’s replacement deliver it??🧐 mmm

100% agreement: “Personally, I think Elon Musk's management since 2021 has been bad and is the main cause. Tesla is no longer an aspirational brand as it was before and has lost a lot in terms of innovation. Since 2019 when the Model Y was introduced, we have not had a new model relevant to the European market.” #alwaysbecharging

@elonmusk Please can we have this in the UK? I love my Model Y, would like to use the FSD I have. I know it is regulatory issues that stop it so far but can only hope it comes soon.

If the Labour government do introduce a per mile road tax charge on motorists, then it will absolutely hammer rural drivers and also many businesses. This is the politics of punishment. And meanwhile, we pay our taxes for the likes of Starmer & Reeves to be chauffeured around.

@autocar They could have designed anything. As an EV they had a blank sheet. They could have even copied the Capri of old. This is why legacy auto fails.

BREAKING: Tesla put former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson in the drivers seat to test FSD (Supervised) in LA with his wife & baby in the car. He was blown away. Boris: "I can report, Ladies and Gents, that the overall effect is astonishing; It’s so human, I gasp, so smooth; At the end of about 45 minutes I feel like a driving test examiner – except that I want to tell the car that it has passed, with flying colours." @brownest_Ant @neilmbriscoe @LordHumphreys @Carpervert We bought a REX in 2018 as a “just in case”. We filled the 9 Ltr tank once and the motor only came on for maintenance mode so it could make sure it worked. We never needed it in the 4 years we had it. Go EV. It was brilliant. Get the S if you can and as late as possible.

@alex_avoigt Was the robot programmed to do that? The key is the ability for it to converge robotics and AI. Once it can do tasks without being programmed and think for itself, it becomes an exciting proposal.

Boston Dynamic Obviously Does Not Understand the Humanoid Robot Market and has made a Huge Mistake. The purpose of a humanoid robot is to cooperate with humans and to do so, its movements must be predictable and like those of a human. What BD has presented is not only incredibly weird and creepy, but it also creates fear and insecurity in any human who is in the vicinity. This is fruity ground for accidents and injuries which is exactly what you don't want. Personally, I wouldn't want a robot like that in my house or in my factory, heck not anywhere near me because I could never tell the degrees of movement that thing has and that's truly bad. IMO, Boston Dynamics has not only created a marketing disaster but has once again shown that they don't understand the market they are in. Major failure.

@garyblack00 In the UK we don’t have FSD and it is not likely to come anytime soon. The $25k or £25k car is crucial here. If you focus solely on Robotaxi Tesla will see a massive decline in the UK and others will fill that space. You then won’t see that customer again for 5 years.

$TSLA: There’s a disconnect between investors who cheer Elon’s presumed prioritization of robotaxi over the $25K compact, and others who want the company to continue to go down the dual path of both a robotaxi and $25K compact in tandem. The first group fervently believes that 1/ FSD will soon get to 99.99% efficacy needed for robotaxis to drive themselves; 2/ Regulators will approve self-driving robotaxis on all roadways; and 3/ TSLA will assume any liability for robotaxi injuries or damages. The second group of investors doesn’t necessarily accept these three premises. TSLA’s declining stock is signaling investor uncertainty about the robotaxi prioritization option. Rather than choose, we believe most institutional owners favor the path where TSLA pursues development of both the robotaxi/$25K compact simultaneously as outlined in Walter Isaacson’s @elonmusk biography, and as articulated today in an interview by David Baron, a portfolio manager at Baron Capital Inc. and son of Wall Street veteran Ron Baron, who is one of TSLA’s largest shareholders. In his interview, Baron said the $25K Model 2 is a crucial piece of their bull thesis, and called it “investment thesis-changing” if they stopped work on Model 2. Without a $25K compact, the growth rate of TSLA deliveries could slow to a crawl over the next few years, which would likely trigger a reduction in TSLA’s P/E multiple. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
