@neatwheatt @DarkOddCon given how homo sapiens and homo neanderthalensis banged each other, the human biological urge to frigg aliens seems to have overcome this

@TheSkepticWiz "I do not feel Thor in my heart and soul" "I feel god in my heart and soul" oh you thought religion was a scientific pursuit and not a spiritual one? Like humans don't need or thrive in a healthy balance of spiritual internal pursuit and factual external pursuit? yikes...

@SpeedWatkins @Joeray and what, pray tell, would you consider a god who subjugates his creation to match a perfect image of a perfectly good life, giving them no potential to act creatively and individually from that?

@ReasonApostate @quasiantipodean @SpeedWatkins it's a pretty common belief that either hell is not real or is self inflicted by rejecting god and isn't "Design" so much as a natural state of being separate from god. if your only argument is "but hell" then you kinda fall short in any other interpretation of scripture.

@VinceDaoTV America bombed two cities with atomic bombs close to 90 years ago at this point. How many people does the American government get to murder before we question whether or not America can have nukes?

@AquamarineRose_ @dxllxria @butchofbelial Btw this post as a joke but for the sake of answering the question it'd probably be Mortuophilia or Mortophilia, following the pattern that Somnophilia and Dormaphilia are synonyms using different Latin root words

When I was a kid we called it Battleboarding, and the consensus method was to calculate an aggregate of a characters best & worst feats to find the most reasonable upper ceiling of their stats. Nowadays powerscalers just highball everything & compare the biggest numbers. (1/2)

@little_marzipan @Chondrichthyes1 @quesadaaa_ because 5 years is a short time for pharmaceuticals and plenty of doctors do NOT focus on contraceptives. They're most likely to present older and more tried suggestions because of a mixture of lack of study AND the short time which the item has been on the market.

@ClevenDaClemen @Chondrichthyes1 @quesadaaa_ - so either these doctors aren’t briefed/educated on the forms of treatment they can provide (their fucking job) or the gel form of female bc simply isn’t available to the majority of women, leaving us with only the invasive options.

@little_marzipan @Chondrichthyes1 @quesadaaa_ the active push for birth control is condoms, everything else is generally not talk about all that much. Save for in advertisements by the production company. most doctors mention the older stuff because that's the list they're used to presenting, give the tech time.

@ClevenDaClemen @Chondrichthyes1 @quesadaaa_ is it easily accessible? is it covered by insurance? is there an active push to make this form of birth control known? i’ve been to three consultations, and not once has this been mentioned. maybe im an outlier case but not once have i seen the gel recommended as a form of bc-

@ClevenDaClemen @Chondrichthyes1 @quesadaaa_ not everyone can shell $300 for birth control when the pill and other invasive methods ARE the ones covered by insurance, making the gel inaccessible to most

@little_marzipan @Chondrichthyes1 @quesadaaa_ It's non hormonal and PH-based. meaning it basically just coats the vagina and kills sperm. Side effects are basically "if you are allergic" or "same as if you put random objects inside of you" both of which are incredibly difficult for a new technology to fix. --

@ClevenDaClemen @Chondrichthyes1 @quesadaaa_ bro the issue isn’t that men aren’t suffering (even though they deserve it) the issue is that they’ve obviously put more effort into preventing discomfort for men than they do for women . KEEP UP!!!

@Chondrichthyes1 @quesadaaa_ i’m going to hold your hand and explain this to you very slowly. woman options for birth control: painful. barbaric. invasive. little regard for the woman herself and her experience. man options for birth control: non-invasive. mindful of the man’s experience.
