yes ONLY Latinos had to do that. Asians, Africans,Europeans outside of the UK, etc just intuitively knows ingles from birth... i'm starting to think that the feeling of being at the center of the world isn't a US only thing but apply to the whole ass American continent
I genuinely don't understand why so many Undertale fans from Latin America are crying for a translation in ESP/PT if they have already played the game, know english, and obviously won't buy the game a 2nd time just to play it again in their native language.
Of all the Toby Fox discourse, this is the one that really got me. This is truly the thing that defines the conflict. People who speak in native english are incapable of understanding what it's like to have most art NOT made for your native language. It's baffling to me.

The complaints are reasonable and I understand them, being an Italian fan who quite literally had to learn English to access Undertale. I just don't like how people are acting as if the only missing translation is the Spanish one. Do they think every European speaks English???

There's a whole 271 page long book about how Undertale was translated into japanese and how meticulous that process was and what sacrifices were made in said process And you really expect that perfectionist guy to want to translate the game into the language he doesn't know

I think people also underestimate how essential Toby's vision is to UT's experience. It's not just about trusting professionals, he has already been working with professionals for years now. It's that basically every piece of text contains 7 double meanings only he knows
