Crowd roars as Kid Rock pays tribute to the Bible and Jesus at the All-American Halftime Show.
Beautiful lyrics. You would never, ever hear anything like this sung at the Super Bowl.
“There’s a book that’s sitting in your house somewhere that could use some dusting off. There’s a man who died for all our sins hanging from the cross. You can give your life to Jesus, and he’ll give you a second chance…”

@d2fbspotlight 1984 National Championship - Troy State beats North Dakota State on a (literally)last second 50 yard field goal by Ted Clem!

If you had to pick one game as the greatest in D2 football history, which one would it be?

@Beasley__F @BLester1993 @clint20white I wasn’t there when Walton had that kid. I was at West Florida High School- maybe the only school in the state that couldn’t get transfers. I have coached in Pensacola a long time - i am familiar with recruiting - didn’t like it then and I don’t like it now. We’ll keep working
English

@CoachHLees @BLester1993 @clint20white Go out and get or they come to you? The go out and get idea is thrown around way to recklessly. Again, Walton didn't go out and get the DI QB that led them to a 10-0 regular season. He felt, based on school choice, that was best for him.
English

@Beasley__F @BLester1993 @clint20white Yeah, i guess after watching the FL/GA finals and I saw the talent and heard (in many cases) the huge number of transfers - I feel like community schools - have to go out and get players to have a chance to compete at that level. It’s disheartening.
English

@CoachHLees @BLester1993 @clint20white Coach, I respect you and what you are about. Transfers were created by school choice, NIL is a college thing, and "street agents" have been around since you and I started coaching.
English

@Beasley__F @BLester1993 @clint20white I guess that’s why i’m out of it. Transfers at an all time high, NIL, street agents - I will just coach my position and let you head coaches worry about all the administrative issues that our state faces. I just don’t like the direction it is headed.
English

@CoachHLees @BLester1993 @clint20white Yah, they have a charter school in their community that has 200, I assure you they still fall within the rural standards. Told by who? Other coaches that cant compete with them? Again, Walton went 10-0 with a transfer QB?
English

@Beasley__F @BLester1993 @clint20white They have great athletes- but if they are allowed to draw from another group of kids that don’t go to their school - they have an advantage that other rural schools don’t have. Just having talented players - there is nothing wrong with that.
English

@Beasley__F @BLester1993 @clint20white They haven’t done anything- I have never coached at a rural school- but rural coaches claim Madison draws athletes from another school and school isn’t counted in their student population- if I am wrong- I apologize. But I have been told that by numerous coaches for many years.
English

@Beasley__F @GageBrownCCA Coach Beasley, you probably know more about the ins and outs of referees than most of us - but most of the youth organizations I have seen use the same officials organizations as well. They probably get a NFHS certification and adjust rules according to who they are calling.
English

@GageBrownCCA Do SSAA schools use FHSAA certified officials, or do you guys have your own associations and testing process?
English

Who is the best QB you've seen at the D2 level?
Past or present.
#D2FB
English

@BLester1993 @clint20white The entire state has a problem- and there needs to be an alternative for schools that can’t compete with private schools or big $ programs/ or programs that blatantly recruit …most schools don’t have close to the same resources but are expected to compete
English

@BLester1993 @clint20white I feel the rural league was set up for how High School sports was supposed to be - you develop your own kids - and play with what you have. Madison and now Hawthorne are outliers that create a competitive imbalance. FHSAA doesn’t have a plan.
English

@robarmstrong41 @d2fbspotlight That does my heart good - i folded a sheet of paper for the fullback path and drew a defense and showed my son how to count outside the crease and @Harding_FB alum @clees_65 looked at me like I was crazy 😂
English

@CoachHLees @d2fbspotlight No way Coach. In the end the scales came off and you were back to 3 outside the crease!!!
