@RepJasonCrow Thank you for your service. My son was also in the 82nd Airborne Division. As a parent, I know what it is like to have a son call and say “I won’t be able to talk to you for a while. My will is in order. I love you.” 18 hours later he was in Iraq.

Trump may soon deploy the 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle East. Paratroopers always get the job done. I know because I also served in this division. I also know what it’s like to be deployed with no clear strategy or end game. Americans deserve better.

Fox News has learned that the Commander of the 82nd Airborne Division Maj Gen Brandon Tegtmeier and his “command element,” members of his headquarters staff, have been ordered to deploy to the Middle East as the Pentagon and White House weigh whether to send the 82nd Airborne Division to the Middle East for possible land operations. There has been speculation that the US would use ground forces to possibly take Kharg Island or for other missions inside Iran. This would be a first step needed to plan for such a contingency. @LoisAceLane @FaytuksNetwork A ready brigade is usually the first sent over, but to order the HQ element of the 82nd usually means soon the entire division will be sent over. But to not send over the 101st and the 24th... they need some more heavy hitters.
