The technical expertise at @mmb_nioz is incredible and the technical staff are quite willing to teach you all that they know. It's certainly made me a better analyst. Every #isotope study is only as good as the quality of the underlying data set!

After 2 postdocs and 7 years to the day at NIOZ, it's time to mosey onward. I have enjoyed the time spent exploring data from really diverse systems ranging from deep sea to mother-infant metabolism using stable isotopes. Thanks to all the folks that helped along the way!

@Shark_eye_sci @OllieShipley @pmanlick What I would say is that if you are doing any form of classification or reclassification, then it is important to show these boundaries as they aren't necessarily intuitive, due to some assumptions that go into the LDA algorithm. Otherwise just showing ellipses can be misleading.

@Shark_eye_sci @OllieShipley @pmanlick Hi Jon! The trick is to construct an expanded grid of the plot and then do a classification prediction for all points. You can then add contours at 0.5 probability values for groups based on these predictions.

Does anyone have R code to make partition lines between categories in an LDA (example below)? Banging my head against the wall here
