@CoffeReport @Faytuks Indeed. It's the military equivalent of knocking on someone's door and leaving before they can open it.
English

The Houthis has so far fired one ballistic missile and one cruise missile at Israel.
Both were intercepted
Emanuel (Mannie) Fabian@manniefabian
A cruise missile launched by the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen at Israel this morning was successfully intercepted, according to the IDF. The cruise missile was fired several hours after the Houthis launched a ballistic missile at southern Israel, which was also downed, the military says.
English

@vcdgf555 Yeah, makes a lot of sense, but still seems a bit odd to me that they then, kind of symbolically, fire missiles at Israel and not explicitly threaten Red Sea shipping.
But let's see what happens. I think it's quite certain that this war will last significantly longer.
English

@CoffeReport It may move the Lincoln CSG further out, but also (as we have seen with the area denial of the SoH) it forces commercial shipping to consider risks to/from the Red Sea.
English

Well, the Houthis are in it now.
Al Jazeera Breaking News@AJENews
BREAKING: Yemen's Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said the group has carried out its first military attack against Israel.
English

@vcdgf555 They've definitely exposed themselves to strikes by the US now, so it seems weird their entrance into the war wasn't planned to have a bigger effect.
I thought we would see a big coordinated Hezbollah, Iran, and Houthi attack, but maybe they're all drained.
English

@vcdgf555 Weird to join the fighting and only lobbing a few missiles against Israel. I guess their capabilities are extremely limited, or they've been forced to join the fighting by Iran, and are scared of the retaliatory strikes, and are therefore limiting their strikes.
English

The Iranian missile strike in the Ashalim area earlier might not have been targeting the Solar Tower. The strike seemed to be west of the tower and could be targeting the Prabolic Trough Solar System.
However, no damage has been reported as of yet, and the missile probably hit in an open area. The distance between the tower and the Prabolic System is about 4 km.

English

@anglobaloch @BoukariAbu @kimhvik2 Probably a more realistic target tbh, but no way of determining from that video whether or not it hit.
English

@BoukariAbu @CoffeReport @kimhvik2 It struck its intended target, which was this:

English

@Saturns_Cube @FaytuksNetwork I've yet to see them hit anything of strategic importance in Israel. Yes, they've hit some radars and now the KC-135's in the Gulf states, but they are also considerably closer and way more exposed to drones
English

@CoffeReport @FaytuksNetwork you think you have more info on their intel? just from a video you have no clue what they are targeting that the public doesn't know yet
English

Status on the war: the US has already won 47 times.
We’re just moving an amphibious assault group and a carrier into the theater as a ceremonial victory lap.
Iran is apparently begging for a ceasefire - so NATO allies should redefine “defensive alliance” and come help RIGHT NOW.
Also, we’ll rename the Strait of Hormuz to the Strait of Trump.
Maybe Cuba should be called Trump instead.
And honestly, just call it the Gulf of Trump at this point.
Oh, but forget I said that - pleeaasse.
English

@AuroraIntel I feel like there could be multiple valid explanations as to why, but whatever reason is truly behind it is clearly escalatory from Iran and the IRGC.
The Houthis would not join the fighting without a direct demand from Tehran.
