$BTC If these range breakouts keep failing then it will be hard for a prolonged relief bounce to happen. All we're seeing now is a sweep of shorts into further downside since this downtrend began. Low timeframe price action is very choppy and has been for the past 6 weeks. No rush to do anything else but accumulate spot as low as possible for me.

During 2026 alone, Strategy has acquired almost an additional 100K $BTC so far. This is during a less than ideal market environment and generally a pretty low premium in $MSTR. I have no doubt that Saylor will get to that 1M Bitcoin mark at some point. Whether that's something you like or not.

Factually, I know this is happening. People are driven to hypergamble by a sense of urgency and powerlessness. But it is a terrible choice. You will lose everything playing the game this way.

You are a good boy and have always done what your parents told you. Good grades, a decent 9–5, you're actually quite good at saving money, but still, you can’t afford to buy a starter home because every year passing, things are getting more expensive. Meanwhile, your feed is showing you 21-year-old influencers printing money off TikToks and YouTube shorts, casino streams, etc. You look at it and think, “Why not me? What other path is there to get out of this misery?” So you start hypergambling because slow, responsible behavior doesn't buy you a place to live. It’s simple, really. Either you roll the dice or accept you’ll rent forever.

The story is missing the last chapter. You hypergambled without any concept of risk management and followed some shady influencer into half a dozen altcoin calls. You hit a few runners, but eventually all luck runs out. You lose 6 figures. That money you saved so diligently - it's gone now. The years of work you put in to earn and save it are erased as though they never happened. All that's left is the emptiness. This isn't a pathway to freedom. It's a pathway to ruin.

I would put the odds that the bottom is in at about 40%. If you have zero exposure at this point you may well regret it. However, I think to some extent the direction of Bitcoin will depend on the direction of equities. I am not an equities trader but they do look to me like they’ve put in a local high and could be due a deeper pullback. While BTC will probably bottom before equities (though last cycle it didn’t), I don’t think it will simply shrug off a larger move down. I will look to buy downside protection around 6800.

Trading on venues that reward you remains very +ev during this depressed phase of the market. For me that has boiled down to 2 bets: 1. @pear_protocol.
