@peterrhague Abolish income tax and replace it with a land value tax. The more land you occupy the more tax you have to pay. It will ensure this finite resource is utilised in the most efficient way.

One of the worst parts of the UK tax system is the 40% income tax bracket. Not the 45% one that kicks in at high income, but the wall you hit the moment you get into the middle class. To get the economy growing we need to encourage the great mass of productive people who are hit by this punitive tax - which after you’ve factored in other taxes such as VAT effectively means more than half their marginal income is lost. Yes, you may speculate about my own income and probably be about right, but that doesn’t invalidate the point.

@HouseOfCrypto3 With the amount of over leveraged positions that have now been liquidated , not once but twice in less than a few weeks, where’s the capacity going to come from to drive these bull market? Just curious

@c2c_Rail Just tried topping up, and guess what it doesn’t work, error message “Oops something is not right” well it’s your whole IT and ticketing system that’s not right!!!

Some good news - this issue has been fixed. You can now 'top up' bundles bought in 2019. Remember you still need to 'top up' before it hits 0 tickets in the bundle (we're working on that).

Flexi customers - we know we always say 'top up' instead of buy new, BUT topping up a Flexi bundle bought in 2019 won't work at the moment. Our advice is to buy a new bundle & then top-up as normal from now. Flexis bought in 2020 are unaffected. This should be fixed shortly.

@c2c_Rail what’s happening with the smart card system. Again today it’s not loading on the card and despite funds paid I’m asked to buy a more expensive daily ticket and not to mention have to queue up because there are not enough machines or people. It’s not on!!!!

@c2c_Rail Talking of tickets, what is it with your joke of a smart card system. Managed to eventually buy online but now can’t load it. Was then asked to purchase a ticket at the station despite already shelling out.

@c2c_Rail when are you going to sort out these smart cards. This is starting to get quite annoying. Especially when you have to que to buy a ticket and then miss the train subsequently making you late for work!!!

@c2c_Rail I’m not so sure, failed to work today despite buying top up yesterday. Was asked to buy a ticket which made me miss my train. Also this loyalty business, when do we actually get to use the points earned? System needs a thorough review if you ask me.

@c2c_Rail Surely this will actually make travelling tomorrow more risky with a reduced service, packed platforms and lots of people crammed into trains. As others have said the forecast is not predicting heavy snow. It’s a shambles.
