“You cannot be a Christian and a feminist because Christianity covers all.” Okay. Christianity teaches Imago Dei, that all human beings are created in the image of God and possess equal inherent worth and dignity. Those who make this argument often say labels are unnecessary because Christianity already covers everything. Fair enough. Then why is this argument applied so selectively? There are climate activists. Christianity teaches stewardship of creation. Why not tell them Christianity already covers environmental responsibility and they should stop using that label? There are anti-human trafficking advocates. Christianity teaches justice and human dignity. Why not tell them Christianity already covers that? There are mental health advocates. Christians are called to care for those who are hurting. Why not tell them Christianity already covers that? There are anti-racism advocates. Christianity teaches that all people bear God's image and deserve equal dignity. Why not tell them Christianity already covers that? There are disability rights advocates. Christianity teaches compassion, inclusion, and care for vulnerable people. Why not tell them Christianity already covers that? Some people would rather I call myself an SDG 5 advocate. That is also a label. If labels are the problem, then surely all advocacy labels should be a problem. Why are climate activists, anti-racism advocates, disability rights advocates, and SDG 5 advocates not told to abandon their labels because Christianity already covers those concerns? Why is the rule applied only to feminism? As for me, I studied feminism academically and my PhD research engaged feminist thought. By some people's logic, that alone would make me a sinner. If the argument is truly that Christianity covers all, then apply it consistently to every cause and every advocacy label. If not, perhaps the issue is not labels themselves but a particular discomfort with one specific label. Love and light.

Before you start expressing pity for the mothers of this generation, I dare you to post 10 pregnant women doing this. Just 10, out of the millions of pregnant women in Nigeria. The practice of scavenging this type of content from the obscure corners of social media and amplifying it to help algorithms construct a false image of your society has to stop.

I was just blushing like the lady even though I couldn't understand all he said. But e sweet 😊🥰 See as the lady covered all up despite having a full bossom. Even the Aunty at the background said see a decent girl. Some people would use big front as an excuse to walk naked.

Announcement after one academic year has passed 😃 😊 I could not publicly announce mine until my third year of my PhD. When I first saw the requirements for my qualifying exams, fear caught me, so I felt it was safer not to tell people. My thinking was that if I had to leave the program, no one would even know I had been pursuing a PhD. Lol. By my third year, however, I became more open about it. I told myself that the same God who had brought me that far would see me through to completion. I am glad I shared my journey then because it ended up inspiring many people.

@Victorokeke_ Use the white nylon film to wrap the edges, then hang it with this banana holder. It can last up to a week if not more without getting bad.

@belovethchild7 An ordinary aero plane should not be a yardstick for one’s success. If you have no business entering an aero plane, why should you? Why are you setting up standards all for little tokens Elon wouldn’t even give you.

I’ve had my WhatsApp read receipts turned off since around 2017. During an ASUU strike, I got a sales rep job through a friend. One day, my boss noticed that my read receipts were off and started explaining how to turn them back on. I told him, “Sir, I know how read receipts work. I turned them off myself.” He then told me that if I wanted to keep working for him, I would need to switch them back on. I reminded him that we already had a business line for work communication, and the read receipts on that line were on. My personal phone is my personal property. He said if I wouldn’t change it, he would have to let me go. The next day, I submitted my resignation letter.

Turning off your read receipts and hiding your last seen feels like a red flag to me. It's not about monitoring anyone or demanding constant access. It's just that being left completely in the dark can make things feel less transparent than they should. Maybe it's a privacy preference, maybe it's nothing at all, but I can't help seeing it as a sign that something isn't quite open. Is it right or am I overreacting?
