Proud of our guys effort last week. I saw the difference a year makes with my own eyes but as a strength coach at heart, I had to analyze the data to see what improvements need to be made going forward. This is a snapshot of the average of our top lifters compared to last year when we tested in March. We made tremendous progress with our Olympic lifts and that’s the main type of strength and power that shows up on the field. Added a little bit to bench press, Spring squat program incoming because that’s not good enough. Among the whole team with more guys testing out, pull ups stayed precisely the same and dips went up by about six reps. Great offseason so far but it means nothing unless guys keep showing up and putting the work in.
