BLACK PEOPLE NEED TO STOP LOVING THEMSELVES SO MUCH. Much of our programming growing up came from leaders trying to teach us to love and empower ourselves in a hostile environment, but this has backfired in very serious ways. We’ve romanticized very deep dysfunctions and anti-civilizational mindsets and attitudes simply because they are displayed by (most) other black people. It makes it hard to get rid of bad behavior when it is viewed as intrinsically black and we’ve been told to love our melanin. Doing so would mean getting rid of our identity and racial commitments, correct? We have to stop loving ourselves unconditionally and instead pay attention to the results produced by our cultural patterns within our community. We should learn to love the patterns that raise the quality of life/output in our communities. Deprogram your thinking and try to think in terms of rationality, cause and effect, and so on. It’s the only way forward.
