@AlexM_Artist @readswithravi I agree. I borrow large print books from my local library and they are sooo comfortable to read. Plenty of modern titles and genres, not just books for pensioners.

@readswithravi Yes. But the reality is that eyesight gets worse after 40 so reading physical books is harder because you can’t enlarge the font. Eye strain and headaches aren’t fun.

Is there anyone else who still favors reading physical books over e-books in 2026?

They removed CD/DVD drives from devices. They made physical media harder to buy and use. They removed expandable storage from phones. They pushed us into streaming subscriptions. They made always-online normal. They made unlimited internet necessary. Then slowly raised the price of everything. Ownership quietly became renting.
