The dialogue had two panel discussions on "Trade and Regional Connectivity under CPEC Opportunities and Challenges for Gilgit" & "Tourism, Agriculture, Minerals and Mines Sectors Development in Gilgit Baltistan for Economic Outreach under #CPEC.

Regional Dialogue on the "Role of Parliament in Promoting Trade, Agriculture & Tourism under CPEC" was held in Gilgit Baltistan. Event highlighted #CPEC projects & investment potential of Gilgit in area of Trade,Tourism,Agriculture Minerals & Mines sectors for economic outreach.

Press releases of the 27th & 28th Committee meetings held on 25th & 26th November, 2020 at the Parliament House, Islamabad

The Parliamentary Committee on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) met under the Chairmanship of @saarbab. The Committee was briefed over the issues faced by the industrial sector and the steps taken to improve the industrialization in Pakistan.

The 27th and 28th meeting of the committee will be held on the 25th and 26th November in the Parliament House. Focus will be on Commerce, Industry, Agriculture as well as discussion on SEZ Act, Rules, Regulations and how to improve FDI and Industry.

The committee would like to thank @FES_PAK and it's country head Dr. Yochen Hippler for supporting the committees' seminar in Peshawar. Together we will hold similar seminars across the country and round off by holding a 2 day national seminar on CPEC in Islamabad.

Newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan H. E. @AmbNong called on Chairman @saarbab at the Parliament House. Chairman welcomed Ambassador Nong and assured complete support of the Parliamentary Committee to help expedite implementation of various CPEC projects

Moreover, the Chairman directed concerned Ministries, Divisions and other quarters to ensure the coordination amongst them and any undue delay in completion of projects at Gwadar will not be tolerated. #NACommittee

The Chairman also directed concerned departments to resolve the issues highlighted by Committee’s members and incorporate their recommendations while executing the ongoing projects at Gwadar.
