"Mathieu Darche jumped the cue... He gets first dibs on Peter DeBoer. There was no way this guy was sitting out another year."
Sam Cosentino joins @Mattymar89 and @FutaMichael to discuss the Islanders' late-season coaching change.
@Concern70732755 If only it was actually foreign. In truth it’s aid for leaders of the country sending the “aid”, aid for the receiving country, and aid for the various banks involved along the way.
@RiesebosC@WeAreCanProud I’m pretty sure they all get paid for these endorsements too. No ‘goodness of their heart’ involved. Liberals, of course, eat it up like it’s a free lunch buffet (that someone else is paying for).
The sheer absurdity of A PM who made his life and fortune outside of Canada, being fawned over by a musician who made her life and fortune outside of Canada, at an event sponsored by government-funded media and hosted by a Canadian-born comedian whose life/living is based in the UK just cannot be matched in its hypocrisy. The closest second being the brief Canadian visit of Mike Myers, who also made his life and fortune outside of Canada but felt compelled to pop in to raise his elbows for the sake of Canadians.
All of them united in assuring everyday Canadians how fortunate we are , blessed even, to have Mark Carney at the helm.
Who’s your daddy?
Today is the leadership convention of the NDP, Canada’s socialist party
The crowd at the convention chanted “Eat the Rich” in unison and then unironically elected a private school educated multimillionaire.
Socialists are fun like that.
@ryangerritsen If that clown wasn’t being overpaid by the subsidized CBC, he’d be among the unhoused in either New York or LA ( where entertainment is still a meritocracy).
CBC is now mocking the ability of men and women being able to protect themselves & their families. I’m not a fan of Doug Ford, but if he’s advocating for better ways for people to protect themselves inside and outside their home, I’m all for it. I guess CBC thinks we are all idiots and couldn’t possibly handle keeping pepper spray in a purse or pocket. Defund this garbage.
For the first time, @TheHockeyNews is pulling back the curtain on PWHL salaries.
In our series, we’ll look at many numbers, including this look at the first five contracts signed by the expansion Seattle Torrent and Vancouver Goldeneyes.

@TristinHopper@ryangerritsen Is this (working illegally) not enforceable by the immigration department ? Any worker must present a valid SIN to get paid. Can the CRA not flag illegals and have immigration staff follow up? Sounds simple and sensible so probably can’t be done.
I suspect the Department of Justice will soon start putting out social media posts reading "remember; murder is illegal. You *may not* get bail followed by a suspended sentence."

@NHL_Watcher Why do bettors not know the favourite or line has nothing to do with who the house thinks will win, and everything to do with balancing the bets so the house never gets pummelled?
Who else had one of these in the 80s and 90s?
(amplifier, tuner, turn table, tape-to-tape cassette deck, equalizer, CD player, speakers, woofer...)
I used to move so often, that I drew a wiring diagram so I could reconnect everything after unpacking.
I still have a collection of vinyl records in the basement.
Hillary on Bill Clinton and Epstein: "The connection that he had ended several years before anything about Epstein's criminal activities came to light."
@ChrisMartzWX@lamphieryeg The good news (if you’re ultra-rich or the leader of a country) is he created a new ‘industry’: Money laundering through climate fear.
20 years ago in your film, “An Inconvenient Truth,” you predicted that:
- The Arctic Ocean would be “ice-free” by 2013. That didn't happen.
- There'd be no more snow on Mount Kilimanjaro by 2016. That didn't happen.
- Polar bears would be dying out. That's not happening; in fact, most populations are relatively stable.
- Lake Chad would dry up due to global warming. It is drying, but decreasing water levels are mostly due to growing population and increased drawdown.
- The melting of the Greenland and West Antarctic ice sheets would cause sea levels to rise by 20 feet in the “near future.” That didn't happen, it definitely won't happen anytime soon, and is pure exaggeration.
I could go on and on. . .
The only thing you got right was that it has continued to get [marginally] warmer since your movie came out, and that the atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO₂) level has risen to over 400 parts per million (ppm).
Almost everything else is pure exaggeration, if not an outright lie.
