@celestialheyoka @juchejuice I had an extraction and bridge last year, appreciate dental care SO MUCH more than ever. Was lucky to have money at that time, tooth had been a minor annoyance for 20 years, got intolerable right when I could get it fixed.

@LeighWilder42 I used to think if we disappeared, my kids would watch tv until they died. Once I made 6-yo write an essay on that, she wrote "if all the adults disappeared I would form a search party to find them." But at 14 she bakes cookies. Your nephew needs help.

Just spent 2 days with my sister's kids. They're like aliens encountering earth culture for the first time. We went tubing on the river. I asked them to tie ropes to their tubes. It took them several minutes to each tie a single, very bad knot.
