𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗥𝗮𝘇𝗼𝗿: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝟬.𝟱𝟵% 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁: On Thursday, 19 March 2026, from Poundsgate Newton Abbot, England, the waxing crescent moon (illumination 0.59%) was observed visually for a total of 28 minutes uninterrupted using an optical aid, Alhamdulillah and could not be seen with the naked eye.

19/03/2026 #moon From wales uk, imaged at 18:40, Age of moon 17hrs and 17mins Imaged on asi533mm with IR 720mm pass on GT71, and ASI585mc with uv/ir cut filter this moon could not be seen visually either with the 25mm eye piece or naked eye due to haze ultra thin!

@MuslimBibliophi its about $600 so well within budget, has a built in LP filter, i haven't research whether you can switch filters, i'm guessing it would have to be external which might cause issue when you consider a typical eq mount costs $500 it's worth it for the convenience

Yeah, previously, people had to capture a lot of images, then use stars to align the stack (in software) and integrate; I guess this does it all in software. Can you switch out filters on this? I am thinking of getting one myself, but I will study which one to get. Budget: $1000 USD. I don't want to spend ~$4K-$5K for diminishing returns.

@MuslimBibliophi yes seestar s30 pro , just imaging orion nebulae at the moment, I will post it takes the fun out of it though, just put it outside and press a few buttons on an app. I guess this is the way forward now

@MuslimBibliophi we are lucky in the uk if we get more that 2 consecutive days of clear skies 😂 we've been stuck in a dense cloud pattern for weeks, it's finally cleared today
