Oh goodness, this blog is an important read. Woman with learning disabilities needs and wants cancer treatment but doctors not sure she has capacity to consent, so take it to court... but don’t tell her she will die without treatment, as that might upset her @OpenJusticeCoP 1/4

This is really significant. If local government leaders are now openly saying they can’t meet statutory duties, then the rule of law is breaking down 1/2

Totally agree with these 👇 comments. @Chrishattoncedr has given so much to support the fight against injustice for people with autism and learning disabilities. Now an important voice has been driven into social media silence by intolerance and spite. Very sad

Again reiterates 'woefully inadequate funding' from government but adds she does not believe an additional audit is needed.

Cllr Frost responds that she is 'disappointed' in the findings of the audit and that improvements made have not gone far enough. Improvements are required by a number of partners and it would be wrongly to lay these failings solely at the door of AfC

Just heard on the radio that @BorisJohnson is going to provide funding for 1:1/small group support for most vulnerable to help them catch up 😂😂 Shouldnt laugh but they can’t even provide this for kids & YP with SEN with EHCPs so where are they going to find extra resources?
